Noise Control Software
Noise Control 3D is an educational computer modeling program developed by Michael Salameh. The software
helps college students understand room acoustics and noise control in buildings. It includes the concepts and calculations of: Reverberation Time (RT), Reverberant/Direct Sound, Sound Transmission Class (STC) and Composite
STC, Noise Criterion (NC), Balanced Noise Criterion, dB and dBA. The NC calculation uses transmission losses of the room boundaries and noise levels in adjacent rooms.
The software is free and includes only one file (size 228 k) that can be downloaded at (NoiseControl3D). The file is a standalone program and it runs without installation. The information for the software updates is listed in the text file (size 4 k).
